Conclusion of Week 4

Week 4 was the fastest week. The students fo the 3rd grade went miniature golfing on Wednesday. On Friday, we went to the Liberty Science Center. It was a week full of activities and fun. Thankfully we were all able to travel safely and enjoy our time at each place as well.

The boys and girls of the third grade are raising money for Vietnam! As a class we decided to raise money to help build a school in Vietnam. Our goal was to raise $100.00. We raised a total of $89.12! We only need to raise $10.88! I'm very proud of our students and hopefully we'll be able to reach our goal before the last day of class.

This coming Friday is our last field trip! We will be going to Mountain Creek Water Park. We will be leaving right after worship and arriving at the church around 5. If there are any changes or more announcements about the trip, I will post it up on our blog. For the students who will not be joining us, they will  enjoy their 3 day weekend with friends and family!

Please remember that our Summer School Graduation Party is on the last da of class. (August 10). We are in need of a Parent Coordinator. Each grade was asked to have a parent in charge. The third grade class is still in need of one. An email was sent to the mothers of our students. Hopefully by the end of the  week, we will be able to have someone representing our class. I understand that it is a big commitment. But i really hope that at least one of our parents will be willing to step up to the plate! Thank you (:

Pictures will soon be uploaded!

4th Week of Summer School!

Oh my goodness, it's already week 4 of summer school... There are 14 days left of summer school. Time is flying by and I wish there was a way to slow it down. Today one of our students told the class how upset he was at the thought of summer school ending. Through his comment, many students confirmed that they had felt the same way. Although I wasn't able to share my feelings, I know that I'm dreading the end of summer school as well.

Below are some pictures from today. Students had art class as well as science.

There are some announcements for this week!
1. We will me going miniature golfing this Wednesday! There is NO need to pack a lunch for your child. It will be provided.
2. We will be going to the Liberty Science Museum this Friday! Children must bring a packed lunch from home! Please do not forget!

(:

Today was quite hectic. The weather was very bad and as a result we weren't able to go to the pool. But thank you parents for working with us! We are trying to reschedule the trip to Pascack Valley Swim Club for some time next week. However, the weather forecast for next week is looking cloudy and rainy. If we aren't able to go swimming we may be taking the students elsewhere. We will try our best to keep the parents posted!

The third grade students had a practice NJ ASK math test today. Everyone did exceptionally well! I was very happy with the outcome of each student't grade. Also, each student had a progress report sent home with them. Parents, please take a look at it! After the math test, we had a brownie ice cream sundae party. Thanks to the Wrynn family, we were provided with marshmallows, whipped cream, and rainbow sprinkles! I couldn't thank them enough!

Because swimming was cancelled, all the students of the summer school had the opportunity to watch 2 different movies. We all watched Chicken Run and The Girl Who Lept Through Time. Some of our students were sad to sit through 2 different movies. But it was a good time of fellowship! Please enjoy your weekend and see you all on Monday!
