Hello Parents!
VBS is already at its midway point! It has been such a joy to teach and bond with your children. They all have such sweet and loving personalities. I am so excited to see what the next 3 weeks have in store for us. I know that there are some amazing field trips coming up that the staff and students are looking forward to.
Here are a some pictures that I took these past few weeks.
God bless, and stay cool in this heat!

Hello!

Third Grade Summer 2013
Teacher: Rebecca Choi

Hello and Welcome!
My name is Rebecca Choi and I will be teaching the 3rd grade class this summer. I have had the pleasure of getting to know the third graders these past two days and they are a precious bunch! I am so excited for what’s in store for them this summer.
         Just a few reminders:
                  - Please make sure to sign your child IN and OUT everyday. If a student is going home with someone other than a parent, please let us know beforehand.

                  - I would like the students to bring a 3 ring binder (multiple folders are ok too). I will be giving many handouts so a binder/folder will help the student stay organized.

                  - A heads up: There will be homework every night and I am going to notify the students to have a parent sign the completed homework.

                  - We also have snack time; please pack something small for your child  to eat.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to e-mail! God has such amazing things planned for VBS this summer. I can’t wait to see how much the students grow within the next 6 weeks!

                                                                                                God Bless!

Conclusion of Week 4

Week 4 was the fastest week. The students fo the 3rd grade went miniature golfing on Wednesday. On Friday, we went to the Liberty Science Center. It was a week full of activities and fun. Thankfully we were all able to travel safely and enjoy our time at each place as well.

The boys and girls of the third grade are raising money for Vietnam! As a class we decided to raise money to help build a school in Vietnam. Our goal was to raise $100.00. We raised a total of $89.12! We only need to raise $10.88! I'm very proud of our students and hopefully we'll be able to reach our goal before the last day of class.

This coming Friday is our last field trip! We will be going to Mountain Creek Water Park. We will be leaving right after worship and arriving at the church around 5. If there are any changes or more announcements about the trip, I will post it up on our blog. For the students who will not be joining us, they will  enjoy their 3 day weekend with friends and family!

Please remember that our Summer School Graduation Party is on the last da of class. (August 10). We are in need of a Parent Coordinator. Each grade was asked to have a parent in charge. The third grade class is still in need of one. An email was sent to the mothers of our students. Hopefully by the end of the  week, we will be able to have someone representing our class. I understand that it is a big commitment. But i really hope that at least one of our parents will be willing to step up to the plate! Thank you (:

Pictures will soon be uploaded!

4th Week of Summer School!

Oh my goodness, it's already week 4 of summer school... There are 14 days left of summer school. Time is flying by and I wish there was a way to slow it down. Today one of our students told the class how upset he was at the thought of summer school ending. Through his comment, many students confirmed that they had felt the same way. Although I wasn't able to share my feelings, I know that I'm dreading the end of summer school as well.

Below are some pictures from today. Students had art class as well as science.

There are some announcements for this week!
1. We will me going miniature golfing this Wednesday! There is NO need to pack a lunch for your child. It will be provided.
2. We will be going to the Liberty Science Museum this Friday! Children must bring a packed lunch from home! Please do not forget!
